One
of the easiest ways to make money online as an affiliate
is by using Bum Marketing which involves writing articles
and submitting them to article directories. Its called Bum
Marketing because affiliates don't need a "home"
website and can instead take advantage of existing high
traffic websites.
Although
the strategy still works, its a little bit more difficult
than it used to be because many of the top article directories
no longer allow you to include your affiliate links in your
articles. This is especially true for the main article directory
on the internet called Ezine Articles which generates the
most traffic.
Fortunately,
there is an easy way around this because you can just create
a Squidoo lens about the product you are promoting and use
the link for that lens in your articles. This also has its
advantages because if you direct all of the traffic from
your articles to your Squidoo lens you will have control
over the content and can easily change the product you are
promoting if it turns out not to sell as well as you hoped.
So the
first thing that you need to do is find a product to promote
on Click Bank and then create a detailed Squidoo lens about
it. This can be a review of the product or general information
about the topic with a recommendation for the product. A
good Squidoo lens should contain at least three write modules,
a poll module, a black module, and a You Tube module.
Once
you have created your Squidoo lens you will then need to
concentrate on promoting it using articles. These articles
should contain information related to the topic of your
Squidoo lens so that visitors will be interested in reading
it. Each article that you write should contain the link
for your Squidoo lens in the resource box as well as an
anchor text link so that you can target your chosen keyword
phrase.
Targeting
the right keyword phrase is the most important part of this
strategy because it will determine how well your Squidoo
lens ranks in the search engines. This is why you need to
find "long tail" keyword phrases that have less
competition as it will be easier to achieve top rankings
in search engines like Google.
